Giving Voice: Keeping Black History Relevant

WMCO Program Director Kailyn Shalosky is joined by Teasia Jones, Korey Robinson, and Muskingum University Chaplain Rev. Derek Wadlington to discuss the importance and relevance of having a Black Student Union (BSU) and recognizing Black History Month on campus.

Jones discusses her experience of jumping into the presidential role as a first-year student, and Robinson explains why having this organization on campus is important to both Black students and allies. Wadlington talks from an ally perspective about being willing to learn about those who are different.

Jones and Robinson are executive board members of the Black Student Union at Muskingum. The Black Student Union meets every Thursday in the Chess Center, Room 304. They can be found on Instagram @the.bsu.mu.
